Percy Priest night bass and cats

The night bass bite at Priest is still rocking with black jitterbugs and black spinnerbaits for those guys that like to get that crashing strike, I am not catching the numbers that way but it sure is fun. A black 1/2 ounce Secret Weapon spinnerbait with their giant Colorado blade rolled slow along the ends of bluffs and the start of bluffs along with the steep rocky banks about 10 foot deep has caught me several fish with jarring strikes. I have also been fishing 100 and 200 series black Bandits on the long sloping points and getting good numbers but please use caution getting those fish off, I recommend a lip grip and a pair of pliers to get the hooks out to keep from getting those hooks in you. The best numbers bite but not size has been that good old Berkley black power bait 4 inch craw with a 3/16ths weight on the good gravel banks and long points. The couple of nights I have jug fished have been super good with fish being caught in those big coves near the Hobson Pike Bridge and back behind Hong Kong Island has been very good, I have been fishing about 3-5 foot deep with Canadian night crawlers treated with Sure-Life Worm Glo which turns the worms green and fat after 48 hours of being given a tea spoon of worm glo. Good luck to all and be carefull the lake has been busy so keep that anchor light on and a hand held spotlight at your feet to flash in front of boats that are heading to you but do not shine it at the boat directly it blinds the driver for a moment.
