| Message | We were hoping to catch some bass today, they were jumping all over the place, The water depth probably ranged from 3-6 feet had a light breeze and partly cloudy most of the day. We tried nearly everything in our tackle boxes to get a strike and nothing. But we did manage to pull in 13 catfish that were keepers. Do you have any suggestions or tips to get these Bass attention.
Jim Around a dam it may not have been Bass jumping but if you are sure it was you might take a spoon of the size of the bait that was in the area and throw past them and let the spoon fall a couple of feet and speed reel it back in with a stop and fall retrieve, or try a little George and throw it past them and wake it and kill it when you get to the fish and then twitch it till you get out of them and if that doesnt work try a very small senko style bait in shad color and wacky rig it and throw it right into the jumping fish and let it fall, Good Luck and thank you for the report. jim |
